Central Texas Mountaineers

I am running for re-election to the Central Texas Climbing Committee because I want to continue working on the master planning of climbing at Enchanted Rock. Since 1990 I have had the privilege of serving on this committee as an officer to help Enchanted Rock evolve through the years. The MOU that CTCC maintains with Texas Parks and Wildlife has become a model for landowners and climbers. I think Enchanted Rock has grown through different periods of change in climbing styles and interests. I want to continue to work with this committee to keep the perspective of the past, address the present needs, and create long range planning models for climbing in the park. Enchanted Rock is a timeless treasure of the old and new. The park has always been an important training ground for Central Texas climbers to prepare for mountaineering trips. It has also maintained a continuous monthly trail project started in the early 1990’s which the CTCC supports. With over a 20-year commitment to Enchanted Rock climbing, I hope to continue to serve on the CTCC.
