Organization Representing: Texas Mountain Raiders

 

I have been climbing since 1997. I got involved here in Houston and joined the local club. My climbing has been mostly in Texas at the traditional places (e-rock, Austin, etc.). Lately I've been climbing at different locations around the Texas area, including Georgetown, Mineral Wells, and into Oklahoma. I am scheduled to climb Mount Shasta in California this coming June.

 

I'm have been a probation officer for over 20 years, and also teach a class for DWI offenders (there's nothing better than a beer or two after climbing, but all within moderation). I have been Vice President of Texas Mountain Raiders for 6 years, and have actively recruited people from the local gyms to become more involved with climbing and the climbing community. My goals are to have more Houstonians climb and join the statewide climbing community, support CTCC in developing and maintaining routes and locations, and to continue to foster the special relationships between the climbing community and the state parks.
